Rusty (the dog) comes to work with his owner Jennifer. The kitties are Thelma and Louise, they live at the facility. We have many visiting pets and you just never know who is going to show up. Rusty and the cats are well loved and our residents keep them supplied with treats and much love. All of the pets that visit us provide companionship and entertainment for our residents AND staff!
The Annual carnival is held with the intent of having residents, staff and all of our families spend an afternoon of fun, getting to know each other and building relationships as a giant family. (There are a couple of photos added from previous carnivals as each year has a theme.)
We love outings. Some locations include Baw beese lake for an annual picnic, The annual fair, Wal-Mart and Dollar store, Fall and Christmas light tour, Out to lunch at local restaurants, Gleis, bowling, Binder park Zoo, Hog Creek, the Casino is a favorite, and many other locations. Sometimes we just load up our bus and go for a ride and eat ice cream!
Sometimes we don’t even need a reason, we just party! We also have happy hour a couple of times a month.
We have many who provide religious visits, provide entertainment, assist with activities or visit with residents and a couple that help in the beauty salon. The two young ladies Emma and Kailysa, received the Friend of the Michigan Association Of Activity Professionals award for their dedication to our residents. They have come to work with their mothers for many years and are growing up to be outstanding young ladies.
Our website has been updated and we are very excited to share it with you!Let us know what you think!
