Just a few of the fun activities taking place at HCMCF!

We LOVE Bingo! In April, the Bingo store was open for residents to redeem their March Bingo Madness points.

We started having a choir practice once a week, and these residents sing during the Church services on Sunday.

Our favorite leprechaun came for a visit, followed by many Easter activities and crafts, including balloon painting, rock art, and the start of a 4H for seniors group.

The spoon man provided an afternoon of music and laughs with lots of audience participation.

Penny the pig came to visit for a day and we can’t wait for her to come back again!

We enjoyed an exciting evening at our Roaring 20’s Spring Swing dance in the great room decorated in the 20’s theme. The swing dancers club from Hillsdale College came to show us how it’s done, then we joined them for a bit of chair dancing! Residents wore black shirts with gold lettering with beads and feathered headbands for the women and hats for the men. Staff and several of our child volunteers dressed in 20’s apparel. Many friends and families joined us as well.

A few other recent and up coming activities include our regularly scheduled entertainers, a new gaming system, tech talk, flamingo volleyball, golf and an alphabet soup game and a How is it Made activity.

Our annual family picnic and carnival will be combined this July, and plans are rolling along for a fun day for residents, staff and all of our families!

We started our spring with outings to Walmart and planned for the summer is bowling and lunch at L&J lanes, scenic tours around the county (and stopping to get ice cream), picnics at Bawbeese lake, the new Meijers store, Turkeyville and a few other surprise destinations.
