We started a New Activity in January named Awaken. This activity is designed to awaken the senses through the use of diffused essential oil scents, CD’s with relaxing sound effects (birds, the ocean, woodland sounds), hand massages with lavender, scripted imagery and a variety of other sensory stimulation items. This activity is being enjoyed by our folks who prefer a quiet and relaxed, yet social setting.
Our residents are also enjoying a month of testing new desserts. They have been comparing cheesecakes, ice cream flavors and other tasty treats each week. They offer their suggestions, then favorites will be added to the menu!
